Profile
Background
Régis Dubrulle has 25 years of experience in information systems and cybersecurity. His background combines security within a business and support for public and private organizations across a region.
He previously served as head of information systems security at the agricultural and food group Terrena, a role known in France as responsable de la sécurité des systèmes d’information (RSSI). There, he focused on practical measures: raising phishing awareness among employees and farmer members, maintaining backups to support recovery and checking technology providers’ security maturity. This work exposed him to the risks affecting people, data and everyday tools.
He is now the Pays de la Loire delegate for the Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d’information (ANSSI), France’s national cybersecurity agency. He works with businesses, local governments and regional state services to share good practices, prevent incidents and strengthen organizations’ ability to respond to cyberattacks. He is also an ambassador for CyberLig, the regional cyber campus project led by Gigalis.
He speaks on the links between artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, including at the West Data Festival. The Pays de la Loire Regional Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESER) also heard him alongside Hugo Mania, ANSSI’s AI project coordinator. They highlighted the need for regional networks to share and implement cybersecurity measures.
Perspective
Digital and GenAI credentials
His experience leading security within a business and his role at ANSSI help him put generative AI risks into perspective: data protection, user awareness and incident preparedness. His contribution to CESER’s work and his talks on AI and cybersecurity ground this perspective in the challenges facing organizations adopting these tools.
